I am a disciplined, organized person. I love writing. I love talking about my students and my classroom even when they are driving me crazy. Why then, am I not posting here with regularity? I feel like I am failing miserably as a blogger, and I am certainly failing my commitment to reflective practice. This makes me unhappy. It makes me question what all I am doing right now that I should be inspired and energized to write about in this blog. And still the answers elude me. Something's just not right.
That is all for now, folks.

Hey, I was reading your comments on grading
"extended response questions/prompts. I give them the prompt and tell them how many pages I want and what they may use for reference. They grade their own paper with a rubric"
I am wanting my children to do more writing, but the writing is sooo poor. (also a history teacher) Is it possible that you could share your rubric & a couple sample writing prompt. If you have some of the student work scanned or online, I'd like to see that, too. I'd appreciate whatever you can offer.
